Interesting Perisher History

One of the first ski lifts in the Perisher region was right near Illabunda.

Johnny Abbottsmith placed a small portable rope tow in the gully near our lodge, running up to where Snow Revellers Lodge is. That would have to be the gully in the pic below - you can see the current Telemark lift.

I'm guessing it was there in the early 50s. Anyone know for sure? Leave a comment if you do.
